Installation of SQLBase 11 for Linux - How?

Postby HW » Tue Nov 27, 2007 11:28 am

We have installed SQLBase 9.0.1 on a Linux Server. We get the Upgrade to SQLBase 11 from the website and we want to install it, but there is no dokumentation.
When we install it with the rpm -i ... we only get some directories and files but no possibility to enter the PMC.

Just letting others know the resolution of this one:

This was from a previous case where this message was given (although a different file name, based on the version):

“./dblxsrv: error while loading share libraries: libgptsblmsui90.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory”

The problem was this missing environment variable: "LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/Gupta/SQLBase90:/opt/Gupta/SQLBase90" After setting the variable and export to global, the SQLBase Engine will run.
