Trouble to connect to Sqlbase 6.x on Novell Server

Postby cnong » Tue Jul 14, 2009 6:07 am

I have installed CTD5.1 on my XP. I have a few SQLBase servers resided on different Novell Servers on the network. I have the Novell CLient installed on my XP station. However, I cannot configure sql.ini to connect to those servers. I have no problems to connect the Sqlbase servers on Windows server by using TCP/IP.
I did not have this problem when I used CTD30 on Windows NT box. I used sqlspx32.dll to connect to those Novell Sqlbases servers.

CTD5.1 does not come with a sqlspx32.dll. I got a wrong verson of library error if I copied the sqlspx32.dll came with CTD30 to CTD51 directory.

Please help.

SQLBase 6.x that is way old software :-)
Not sure if SQLBase for Netware also had TCP/IP routers? That might be the only option to go. But no guarantees it could work whatsoever.
Otherwise upgrade to SQLBase 11.5 on Novell Linux.

Thanks, Martin

I forwarded your message to my boss. I’ll see what he’s going to do about it.
