12.0 SP2, EDP: SQLBaseReg.exe missing in 32-bit build

Postby giscon » Fri Feb 24, 2017 4:12 am

Hi,
just noticed that in the 12.0 SP2 EDP-version ( sqlbase-edp-12.0.2.11095-windows-setup.exe )
the SQLBaseReg.exe is missing in a full build of a 32-bit DB-Server. However, in a 64-bit EDP build, the appropriate SQLBasereg.exe will be included in the installer.

If the SQLBaseReg.exe is needed for a 32-bit SQLBase-Server installation, a workaround is easy, because the SQLBaseReg.exe fortunately exists in the relevant folder of the SQLBase 120 EDP Installation itself ..\SQLBase 12.0 EDP\InstallComponents\32bit

Nevertheless this should be fixed.

Kind regards
Günter

Hi Günter,

Hmmmmmmmm. I think that file is actually obsolete, since there are now ways to register the server without using that exe.

Just do a dbntsrv.exe /? from a command box and you will see all the current options.
